This highly flexible system meets all steer-by-wire, drive-by-wire, and brake-by-wire requirements, is certified to the highest automotive and industrial standards, and enables general type approval for road and commercial vehicles.
The consistent use of Safety-by-Wire® technologies also allows vehicle manufacturers to optimize the packaging of their vehicles. By eliminating the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering gear, weight is reduced and safety is increased, while also creating new usage possibilities and a completely new sense of space.
