Force Feedback takes steering precision to a new level - a revolution in steering technology
Pfronstetten-Aichelau. Arnold NextG GmbH has successfully subjected its force feedback system as part of the NX NextMotion drive-by-wire technology to a software test at the Nürburgring.
Arnold NextG raises the level of steering precision to a whole new level with its force feedback technology - integrated into the proprietary NX NextMotion drive-by-wire system. This advanced technology gives the driver a realistic feel (feedback) of the road conditions and the vehicle's handling via the steering wheel. The steering feel is generated from several parameters such as longitudinal and lateral forces, speed, angle measurements and friction.
The advantage is particularly evident on the racetrack: the precise feedback and the adaptive adjustment of steering forces, steering ratio, turn-in force, friction and return allow the driver to act faster and more precisely, significantly increasing control and confidence. Unevenness in the road surface, cornering tendencies or other important driving information can be felt immediately. In addition, the software developed by Arnold NextG dynamically adapts the steering forces to the respective driving situation, thus ensuring optimum stability, increased safety and driving pleasure.
A clear advantage of force feedback technology is its adaptability to the individual needs of each driver and the road surface and its contours. This effect ensures a natural, intuitive and absolutely customized driving experience - both on the racetrack and on the road. This is the first time in 138 years of automotive engineering that steering technology has changed fundamentally.

I have to admit, I was really impressed by how fantastically the system works during the test drive.
